90. 04.03.2007 17:57 MAREN | BACK AGAIN, finally i landed & i got a flight >>> that was really like a scene from a movie at the airport.....never had such a crazy ticket situation before.... So now this is the END, of course i won t stop travelling - next week berlin, than mainz and munich - but from april on i ll settle down for a hopefully longer while IN BERLIN, happily together with my boyfriend, doing loads of YOGA, dancing -and so much more to do in the capital... Guests are always welcome - after all the hospitality i recieved in southamerica i m happy to give some hospitlity back;-) Thanks for following my trip and my short stories - hope to see you soon! 89. 22.02.2007 15:09 maren | The story still doesn t finish that easy as i thought... < > one more night in LIMA after having had a lot of trouble at the airport yesterday....ticket and reservation-problems and i really could not get on the airplane, trying hard to convince the people from IBERIA till the last minute, but they stayed hard> not being able to find my valid ticket - so i have to hope that tonight i ll get on the flight, i m on the waiting list.... < > so we ll see when i m coming back - i m really tired of this shit, just wanting to arrive.... More time for a PISCO SOUR with Gisele tonight, but in the end -of course- theres nothing more to do for me here in LIMA.... |

87. 16.02.2007 17:26 MAR | beachtime is over....ohhhhh...FLORIPA was a fun time//really beautiful beaches, got some last colour and enjoyed surfing...tried hard to stand on the board, but it s so difficult...nighttime was very active in that village-which didn t help me! i m happy that i left brasil for carnaval...everybody went up to RIO<but it s crazy, prices are raising three times and for me it s just tooo busy, tooo much madness going on! i guess in MONTEVIDEO *where i arrived after a long 20 hour busride this morning* is the better option for me, it s more cultural with their music groups playing 40 nights > the longest carnaval in the world! on monday i ll go on the boat from colonia over the RIO DE LA PLATA back to BUENOS AIRES.... have fun and see you very sooooon...love, mar |
86. 13.02.2007 0:58 MAR | OI!!! this RIO DE JANEIRO weekend i was lucky>>>beautiful sunshiny weather with not one single cloud at the sky-->so perfect to go up to the CORCOVADO and the CHRIST statue for sunset to see how day is turning into night from 700m hights!really nice! this time i stayed in a different BARRIO, in ST TERESA, an old neighbourhood with beautiful old buildings which is closer to the nightlife (further from the beach but nevermind...)>mariem and i found an artistic, very special guesthouse, meeting very nice brasilian people and giong out dancing samba like crazy, a concert of MONOBLOCO with 30 and more percussionists....next day feet and legs were hurting... after an 18 hour bus ride i arrived today in FLORIPA on the island where there are perfect weather and waves conditions for beginners. staying in a nice little village enjoying last beachlife days... HAsta luego...SUNSHINE! |

84. 03.02.2007 22:05 MAREN | Doing yoga twice a day - in portuguese is a very good way to get more and more into the beautiful language...one morning i even have been teaching because the teacher was missing!a lot of fun and already a good practice for my teacher training soon to start;-) still enjoying this beach and fishing village> we did an excursion to the touristic but really beautifil beaches up north like BUZIOS etc with a yoga friend who invited us in his house! poeple are so open, friendly and with laughter!!!dancing FOHO= folkrock, a pair dance... i ll stay another week, cause the yoga routine is doing me very well before making my lomg way back down to argentina with stops in rio, floripa and urugauy.... and then i ll be back in germany in 3 weeks, already thinking a lot about family&friends and looking forward to see you all!!! LOVE And SUNSHINE |
83. 27.01.2007 16:52 MAREN | this beach is really what i was looking for>>>the little boys are playing with kites, its so much fun to look at them at the beach, so innocent, laughing, having fun with this simple game i a stunning beautiful environment..on one side lagoons and on the other side the beaches are endless long(so surrounded by water!!!), and waves are really good>i don t know if i ll go surfing again>i am a little afraid with the knee and the waves are not really for beginners...so i rather observe the beautiful brasilian locals on their longboars doing incredible steps!!! i had a cold the last days, headace, but a lot of relaxing and i already feel better! weather is very unpredictable, but so far i was lucky, so much sun! tudo tranquilo.... BESINHOS and take care evrybody... |
82. 26.01.2007 1:39 mar | oh wow, Rio really killed me....too much fiesta, no sleep, too much CITY;-) now i found wa]hat i was lloking for, beeing at a very laif]d back fishing village ]>just 100km north of RIO, with long white beeches, great waves and two good POINTS for surfing! i met mariem and we are living in the garden house of a family, so that is quite nice, having a little kitchen and a huge garden with many coconuts, the father brings us fresh coconut water evry day...perfect service:-) and so much nicer than these hostels and dorm rooms... we are going to do some nice excursions from here, doing yoga in the mornings in a school just two blocks away>>>so peaceful!!!guess i ll stay here a bit, getting energy again :-) so far so good!!! |
81. 23.01.2007 13:31 Mar | This city is such an interesting mixture, we went on an architectural trip yesterday>>>and to say it in the vocabulary of an architecture>>>it s a very organic city! so you have the bay, the beaches and everything like little islands,than some sophisticated buildings and on the other hands these simple fishing villages>>>where we had the best SHRIMPS, a little like thai stylish with coconut milk, mhmmm, really good! so the next days we ll have a look at more niemyer buildings>>>on a party i met nice girls from australia whio are architects, so we ll go together>>>oh evry night there s a party, during the day sightseeing or beach(but there s rain or clouds, so not the perfect weather right now) ...it s hard :-) today maybe SUGAR LOAF... ate logo |
